If one has curiosity, life continues to be interesting, since we never know what's coming next. Artistically speaking, a surprising turn for me came from a series of visits with my daughter and her English bulldog, Bumbog. He is a very humorous character whose many expressions demand that I paint them (though I think of myself as a landscape painter). Like the dog, these paintings are big and bold. Bumbog, whose name is Celtic for bumblebee, was born in Ireland and now lives in London. |
